We have never tested Clean/500 for hedge trimmer cleaning although it is designed for wood resin which is plant derived.

It can be used for normal cleaning operations. But for fine dust a bag should be used to aid cleaning out the unit and prolong the machines life. The paper bag also increases the life of the cartridge filter.
